Shochu is a Japanese distilled liquor that hardly one outside Japan knows of. It is made from various agrarian products, this one from barley, but it could have been rice, potato, or sweet potato as well. The “41″ I do understand, the percentage of alcohol. You can use it in the same ways you use whisky, aquavit or vodka.
